Gucci is planning to present 'Gucci Memoria,' the first exhibition under artistic director Demna, during Milan Design Week and Fuorisalone 2026. The exhibition is planned to be held at the Chiostri di San Simpliciano from April 21 to 26, with a press preview on April 20.
Though specific information is still kept secret, the brand explains that this is a symbolic account of their 105-year history, with particular emphasis placed on their evolution, creativity, and culture. The experience promises to be one that immerses visitors in Gucci’s history and present.
Demna, who joined Gucci after his final haute couture show at Balenciaga, has already begun shaping the house’s new creative direction. Following projects like the 'La Famiglia' collection and the film 'The Tiger,' as well as his debut runway show for fall in Milan, this exhibition marks another major milestone in his vision for the brand.
The exhibition will also be a continuation of Gucci’s tradition of presenting design and cultural heritage during Milan Design Week. In 2025, Gucci presented 'Gucci | Bamboo Encounters,' an exhibition that honored the house's heritage of bamboo in a collection of reinterpretations by international artists and designers.
Gucci Memoria will coincide with large-scale events such as Salone del Mobile, which is anticipated to draw 300,000 visitors, and Milan Design Week and Fuorisalone celebrations, which are anticipated to draw up to 500,000 visitors. This positions Gucci as a force in fashion, design, and culture on a global platform.
