Guess Jeans and the Japanese cult brand Hysteric Glamour are collaborating on a capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2026. The collection blends California's surf and skate culture, steeped in nostalgia, with the rebellious street style of Tokyo. The collection will be available on April 3. It gives classic Guess shapes a new look with Hysteric Glamour's bold, graphic-driven style.
The designs use a mix of old West Coast symbols and Hysteric's signature patterns, which are layered and remixed on denim and clothing. Nobuhiko Kitamura, the founder, said that the collaboration was a new take on nostalgia that would inspire a new generation to wear the pieces in their own way.

The collection is unique because of its experimental and tactile design elements. Appliqué labels, reminiscent of archival stickers, are stitched onto garments, while embossed and laser-treated denim adds dimensionality and tactile interest. These elements pair nicely with retro, multi-stripe fabrics, drawing inspiration from the vibrant aesthetic of Venice Beach.Together, they make a lineup that feels both old-fashioned and new.
Nicolai Marciano of Guess Jeans said that the collaboration was all about individuality and youth culture. He said that it was a natural fit between two brands that are known for bold self-expression.

The campaign, filmed at a Los Angeles motel, accompanies the launch. It evokes cinematic nostalgia and features a cast that effortlessly navigates diverse cultures. The collection is available at flagship locations in Berlin, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, along with select stores and global online platforms.
Guess Jeans wants to be at the crossroads of fashion, music, and art, and this partnership is a part of that plan. It also wants to show how Japan has had a lasting effect on youth culture around the world. Hysteric Glamour has been a big part of Harajuku's countercultural scene since it opened in 1984. It mixes rock, pop art, and Americana into a unique, rebellious style.
