A new wave of fashion talent is preparing to shape the industry, and KidSuper founder Colm Dillane is helping lead the charge. Hosting the 2026 Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) scholars at his studio, Dillane welcomed 160 students—including 60 Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholars—for a day of connection, inspiration, and mentorship ahead of the annual FSF gala.
At the event, Kuan Jackson of Clark Atlanta University was awarded the prestigious $25,000 Chairman’s Award. Other finalists included Rylee Funfsinn (Savannah College of Art and Design), Justin Le (University of Texas at Austin), and Madison-Jade Bishop (Drexel University). The Fashion Scholarship Fund remains committed to supporting aspiring professionals through its awards of more than $1.9 million in scholarships, mentorships, and connections.
The designer also encouraged the students to make the most out of their current circumstances through relationship-building and collaboration. “You should get each other's numbers… try to collaborate as much as possible, and take as many risks as humanly possible,” he advised the students. Fashion is considered a privilege, and Dillane encouraged the students to stay motivated in the fashion industry despite its unpredictability by appreciating the opportunity to create.
