The long-awaited press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has officially begun, and with it, a new wave of fashion moments that make headlines. Almost two decades have passed since the original film came out, but the sequel is already making waves, not only because of the story but also because of the style statements made by the iconic cast.
Starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, the film revisits the world of high fashion publishing, following Miranda Priestly as she navigates the changing media landscape and faces off against a powerful version of Emily Charlton. As the cast travels the globe promoting the film ahead of its May 1 release, each red carpet appearance is becoming a must-watch fashion event.

The first stop on the tour in Mexico City was a harbinger of what is to come, and Meryl Streep made a strong entrance in a stunning red Dolce & Gabbana suit, reminiscent of Miranda Priestly’s commanding style with a modern twist. Anne Hathaway, on the other hand, opted for high-fashion drama in a fringed Schiaparelli dress, topped off with a sculptural gold belt for a touch of avant-garde chic.
With more premieres and appearances on the horizon, there is much to look forward to, both for the film itself and for the style moments it will inevitably spark. There is already speculation on what nods to some of the most iconic style moments from the original film, from cerulean sweaters to boots, will make appearances on the tour, and as this tour progresses, a dynamic look at contemporary style through one of cinema’s most stylish franchises is sure to follow.
