Statement Jewelry Dominated the Red Carpet
It was an event that dazzled the world when it took place in 2026 with a guest list consisting of some of the most influential people in the world like Isha Ambani, Lauren Sanchez, and Anne Hathaway, all wearing jewelry that made people gape in envy. In this Met Gala, the “Costume Art” concept was celebrated, and accessories that made the red carpet a spectacle were worn.
This year’s jewelry spotlight was firmly on statement necklaces. Emily Blunt, fresh from the press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2, wowed in a Mikimoto body necklace valued at over half a million dollars. Its artful draping of pearls created a stunning, sculptural effect that complemented her elegant look. Anne Hathaway celebrated her enduring allegiance to Bvlgari with a regal gold laurel-inspired necklace, a tribute to her Roman-inspired gown and the eternal luxury that the brand embodies.

Rare Gemstones and Symbolic Designs Stole the Show
With Venus Williams being the co-chair for the event, there was brilliance on the red carpet. With her wearing a custom-made piece by Swarovski, Venus went with a neckplate that contained special symbolism to her and included a miniature version of LA's Watts Tower, as a reminder of her Californian origins.
However, it would be an injustice not to mention Sudha Reddy who graced the red carpet with her appearance while wearing her own stunning jewelry, a necklace worth an astonishing $15 million owing to the deep violet-blue tanzanite gemstone weighing 550 carats.
