Alexandra Leclerc Revives Dior’s Iconic Newspaper-Print Dress in Madrid

Alexandra Leclerc, historian and wife of Formula 1 racer Charles Leclerc, made a striking appearance at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid in a daring piece of fashion history. She wore a classic newspaper-print slip dress by Dior by John Galliano from the Fall 2000 collection, a design famously worn by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. Thanks in part to costume designer Patricia Field, the dress became one of the defining fashion images of the era.

Leclerc styled the bias-cut mini-dress with Dolce & Gabbana leather mules, Miu Miu oval sunglasses, and her signature white Lady Dior bag. Her dog Leo accompanied her as usual, adding a familiar touch to her appearance in the Formula One paddock.

The day before, Leclerc was in Monaco to launch her Rhode collaboration, a collection of beauty products inspired by her personal world. The lineup includes the “Monaco” and “Gemini” Pocket Blushes. For the event, she chose a sugary, sparkly pink midi dress that echoed the shimmering character of the beauty collection.
