If you are an avid shopper and have recently looked for a new bag, then you have probably heard of Stand Oil. This Korean brand has been slowly gaining popularity due to their trendy yet timeless designs that can easily blend in with any style. Not to mention, the stylish appeal of the brand has also garnered the attention of the world’s leading celebrities. In addition, the brand has also reached the height of TikTok popularity. Furthermore, the current popularity of the brand as an ‘it-bag’ creator has also reached new heights with the brand’s first-ever collaboration with none other than LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin.
The brand’s name is inspired by ‘stand oil,’ a thick and honey-colored linseed oil used in painting to achieve smooth, glossy, and long-lasting finishes. This inspires the brand to produce products that not only have current popularity but also stand the test of time. This is further explained by Yun Jo, the head of brand communications, stating, “In art, stand oil is used to achieve the finish, and it gets deeper and purer with time. We thought it would be great if our products could have that kind of quality.”

She adds, “Rather than chasing fleeting trends, we aim to design bags that remain relevant and sophisticated over the years. When we launched the brand, we saw a gap in the market for accessories that combine thoughtful design, high quality, and affordable prices, all while feeling emotionally connected to daily life. Our mission has always been to create pieces that seamlessly fit into everyday routines while showcasing a distinctive yet understated style.”

Huh Yunjin’s connection to Stand Oil deepened during her first trip to the US with LE SSERAFIM. She was spotted carrying her Stand Oil bag decorated with ribbons, a small detail that inspired the collaboration. The collection features the mini Breezy bag, a smaller version of the brand’s popular style, in a “misty white” vegan leather shade, along with the Jenaissante charm set and scarf—embracing the bag charm trend.
Yunjin was initially drawn to the brand’s aesthetic. “In 2023, I bought a Stand Oil bag and styled it with a ribbon. I shared it on social media, and it unexpectedly went viral. Since then, I’ve built a strong relationship with Stand Oil, and that bag holds special meaning for me. When designing this piece, I kept that memory in mind and drew inspiration from how I styled it back then,” she shared.
