
Swift Honored at the iHeartRadio Music Awards
Taylor Swift won Artist of the Year at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu gave the award at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 26. Swift, who is 36 years old, won seven awards in all. In her acceptance speech, she talked about how important it is to have passion, practice, and perseverance when trying to improve at something. She praised Liu for her hard work and the happiness she brings to the world, connecting it to the goals of the people in the audience.

Advice to Fans: Nurture Your Hobby
In her touching speech, Swift talked about her childhood and how writing songs went from being a hobby to being the most important thing in her life. She stressed how important it is to spend time learning, practicing, and making mistakes on your own before asking for validation from others. Swift told her fans to work on their own crafts away from the stress of social media. She said, "Give yourself time to make mistakes, give yourself time to hone your craft." She ended by thanking the audience for letting her turn her hobby into a job and wishing them success in their creative work.
